One main project I am currently working on is the CS50’s Introduction to Programming with Python course. The course covers an array of topics, with everything from loops and exceptions to object-oriented programming. It is a course taught by Harvard professor, David Malan, and is online and free on edX.
My progress:
I have completed 9 out of 10 weeks. The last week entails creating your own project utilising all you have learnt from previous lectures and problem sets.
Final project:
When reaching the final part of this course, I thought of multiple ideas of projects that would be wonderful to create. I intend to revisit some after I complete my project. Some of my favourite ideas were an AI tumor detection model, an animation of the impact of climate change, an AI chatbot to help students study smarter and other animations of mathematical or physics-related concepts. Ultimately, I decided on creating an animation on the Big Bang as this also ties into another research topic that fascinates me – symmetry in the universe.
